Johanna Holzer studied Sociology and Cultural and Cognitive Linguistics at the Universities of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Trento, and Munich. She holds a binational PhD in General Linguistics from LMU Munich and in German Linguistics from ELTE University Budapest. Since 2023, she has been working as a postdoc at the Faculty of Translation Studies, Linguistics and Cultural Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Her research interests include sociolinguistic topics in the field of migration linguistics, multilingualism research, individual processes of language acquisition, and German as a second and foreign language.
