I am an evolutionary biologist by training. My main interest is how a genome can produce vastly different phenotypes such as males and females or different castes in social insects. To understand the evolutionary processes and constraints, I study mainly different species of Arthropods (insects and crustaceans) on the genomic and transcriptomic level. For this, I apply molecular biology techniques, as well as bioinformatics.
