My research utilises multi-isotope (δ18O, δ13C, 87Sr/86Sr) analysis of archaeofaunal remains to reconstruct spatial ecology of large herbivores in the face of climatic and environmental shifts during the Late Pleistocene - Early Holocene in Europe. By reconstructing seasonal prey-species behaviour, my goal is to better understand local adaptations in these species, and, in turn, human-animal interactions during this period.
Currently I work within the SUSTAIN ERC project lead by Professor Ivanova-Bieg. Here I am using strontium isotope (87Sr/86Sr) analysis to reconstruct seasonal animal husbandry practices within early agro-pastoral societies during the spread of farming in Europe.
